Art Reception: Tandy Riddle

Join local artist Tandy Riddle for complimentary snacks, wine and socializing, celebrating the opening of her art exhibit at Steep Mountain! Tandy is a Livingston-based artist who works in pastel, watercolor and oil paint. This exhibit features many of her line drawings.

Words from Tandy:

"I have been drawing unclothed models since the very beginning of

my experiment with a life in art. It is an age-old tradition that I have

embraced. There is some ineffable thing that transpires in the rarified,

supercharged air when a model is holding a pose. It is ordained. It distills to being just you and your perception, your concept of reality and abstraction.

For me the practice of line drawing has always been electrifying. There exists a dialogue between direct observation, dynamic action, and styles of drawing I have loved since childhood. The energy bleeds into painting landscapes or cityscapes or interior pieces. This is a language that touches directly who I am and compels me to share."
